Industrial design
Enclosures designed around your electronics, and around production
Overview
Great hardware still needs a body. In partnership with Alex Amat, our associated industrial designer, we design enclosures and housings that fit the PCB, survive the field, and stay cheap to produce.
Industrial design is where most hardware projects lose time and money. An enclosure designed in isolation from the electronics leads to boards that don't fit, connectors that don't line up, and tooling changes that cost weeks.
We design the mechanics and the electronics together. The enclosure is developed alongside the PCB, so mounting points, connector cut-outs, antenna keep-outs and thermal paths are resolved before anything is ordered.
The work runs from early concept models through to production-ready CAD, with material, finish and tolerance choices made against your actual manufacturing volume.
Key features
My process
Concept
We agree on form, ergonomics and constraints, and sketch concepts against your PCB outline and use case.
Modelling
The enclosure is modelled in 3D CAD in parallel with the electronics, resolving fit and mechanical interfaces early.
Prototyping
3D-printed prototypes are built and assembled with the real boards to validate fit, sealing and ergonomics.
Production files
We deliver manufacturing-ready CAD and drawings, tuned for your chosen process and volume.
